Liquid Rhythm by Wave DNA @ NAMM 2013

This one is gonna need a bit more for me to write up on. Basically what we have here is a new way to sequence drums in your DAW quickly. This software essentially is not only a way to organize your drum patterns but to give you every possible combination of notes to construct a pattern in a one bar loop. You have the ability to allow it to endlessly chain these patterns together creating slight groove variations with out the tedious programing. Watch the video and feel free to leave a comment. what do you think about this new way of working. is it quick and fast or is it warping your puny little mind and making you take aspirin. I have yet to try it out but am very interested. I will be heading over to www.wavedna.com to get more info soon.

Noise Devices amazing and affordable.

Here is a group of guitar pedals that really caught my attention and they should be catching your attention too.
the EF101 sounded really great and with the added cv input it makes it a great way to add some depth to your synthesizer. ( I know I want one) the theremin pedal sounded very usable and musical. and hell anyone that puts my name on their pedal gets a bit of a nod. 😉 really though the functionality and sound of these pedals warrant much higher prices. At the price point they are offering you would be silly to not check them out. www.electrofaustus.com

AKAI MPC FLY pad sensitivity and build quality thoughts

So Many of us have been waiting to see how the mpc fly would feel… here are my thoughts.
the Pads certainly don’t feel as responsive as I would like. they feel about the same sensitivity of my quneo controller and a touch less sensitive than maschine mk1 (not amazing but not unusable) dynamically speaking you have to hit a bit harder. the case imho is just way to bulky for me to really want it. he whole point of an ipad is to be slim. This thing is about the size of a somewhat thick laptop. the connector is lightning port only. So if your an ipad 1-3 user your out of luck.

Livid BASE controller

Livid known for beautiful and well built controllers is now releasing this mighty beast of a pad controller. build quality felt very nice. $399 to stand out with this one.

The pad sensitivity wasn’t blowing me away but remember there are still some tweaks to be done to finalize this unit. the touch faders felt brilliant and the solid construction make it really something that feels like it will last.
