Eventide QVOX diatonic pitch shifter now on iOS

Eventide Releases QVox Diatonic Pitch Shifter for iOS

LITTLE FERRY, NJ, USA — December 12, 2019: Eventide is proud to release QVox for iOS, an inspirational sound effect featuring four voices of diatonic pitch shifting and delay. Mobile music enthusiasts can add rhythmic textures to guitars, morph drums into exciting new patterns, widen instruments, and create unique harmonies on vocals.
Whether you are an electronic musician, singer/songwriter, or guitarist, QVox will take your melodies and ideas to new heights. Users can choose a key, scale, as well as each voice’s pitch interval. In addition, they can experiment with a variety of staggered delay groups for unique textures. Parameters can also be altered in real-time using the ‘Ribbon’ controller.

Features:

  • Four independent voices (labeled as ABCD) with diatonic pitch shifting and delay.
  • Select KEY and Scale to create harmonies that coincide with compositions or use the LEARN button to set the key by the incoming played note.
  • Group the four delays so that they are evenly spaced or spread out.
  • SYNC the delays to tempo, or a value of your own choosing.
  • The ‘Ribbon’ controller allows for dynamic modification of several knobs at once to easily morph between settings.
  • Factory presets help get you started or create your own User presets.
  • Mixlock helps when auditioning different presets by enabling a global MIX value that will remain constant for every subsequently loaded preset.

QVox for iOS is now available for download as an Audio Units AUv3 plug-in, Inter-App Audio, and Standalone app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store for $14.99 USD here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/qvox/id1488786684

Audio Damage Shapes Eurorack Module wave shaping demo

Audio Damage Shapes

This is a digital effect module that can take a sine wave and turn it into a wavetable, it can also be used as a complex distortion module. available now from most Eurorack Module dealers it retails around $289, get it direct from Audio Damage . shapes

Shapes includes 16 smoothly interpolated wavetables as well as 9 lookup table algorithms

It is a true stereo module as well.

Features

» The WAVE/ALGO knob and CV input control which wave or algorithm is active. In LOOKUP mode, the knob controls which of sixteen tables the input will scan. In ALGO mode, the knob controls which of nine algorithms will affect the input.

» The PARAM 1 knob is a variable function knob. In LOOKUP mode, it controls the width of the table scan, from about 15% of the table (at full anti-clockwise) to the entire table (at full clockwise.) In ALGO mode, its function varies, but it is usually Drive or Amount. (Basically “more.”)

» The PARAM 2 knob, in LOOKUP mode, controls the start position of the table. It can effectively be thought of as a phase control. In ALGO mode, its function varies, and it is not used in every algorithm.

» The MIX knob controls an equal power wet/dry mix. At full anti-clockwise, you only hear the input, and at full clockwise you only hear the effect.

» The MODE switch controls whether the module acts as a wavetable scanner or a waveshaper. In LOOKUP mode, the wavetables are active, while in ALGO mode, the algorithms are active.

» Shapes is true stereo; the left and right signals do not intermingle internally; thus you can, for instance, run a kick in the left channel and a snare in the right, and vary the effect by attenuating either channel before it enters the module.

» 48kHz 24 bit audio path with a high-quality Cirrus-Logic AD/DA convertor. 10Vpp CV control over all parameters.

» USB port (on the PCB board) for easy firmware updates.

» High-quality 100% Made In The USA construction, including panel-bolted 100,000-cycle BI potentiometers and custom stamped Rogan knobs.

» Power draw is 40ma from the +12V rail and 9ma from the -12V rail. This module has an on-board regulator and does not require +5V. Module depth is 25mm.

» Shapes, like all Audio Damage hardware products, includes our lifetime unconditional warranty.

Mode Machines OMF-1 Analog Rack Filter

The Mode Machines OMF-1 is an analog 19″ rack filter designed for use with a wide variety of sources. the preamp in this unit can handle signals from guitar (instrument level) input all the way up to eurorack modular levels.  Far from just a basic Moog ladder filter clone, the OMF-1 adds a tap for the phase reversible single pole -6 db per octave slope (labeled FIZZ) phase reversible 4 pole -24 dp per octave slope(labeled Smooth), as well as extensiv modulation options. Also included in this circuit is a beautiful sounding overdrive. By sending signal into the filter and adjusting the preamp, you can overload the filter core (indicated by a red LED) to add additional harmonic content to the signal.  The OMF-1 features a side chain input as well as CV and Gate inputs for external filter control. The modulation options are Follower (think Mutron bass filter) Attack Release and Attack Decay settings. the LFO has triangle and square waveforms with a rate control and dedicated depth control as well as the ability to self trigger the envelope (which essentially will act like a complex lfo shape).  clocking in £666.00 direct from the mode machines site, this is an impressive all analog rack mount filter that truly has an impressive character.Take a listen to the video for plenty of sound demonstration. take a look at the Manual here
